What Happened
The US Coast Guard tweeted early on Thursday morning about a woman drowning after falling off a carnival cruise ship. The 36-year-old female was on board the MSC Cruise Ship Meraviglia until she fell overboard into the water about 18 miles off the coast of Port Canaveral.
That morning, the cruise liner was supposed to arrive at Port Canaveral off Florida Coast when the unthinkable happened and the cruise ship’s advanced detection systems alerted them to the mishap.
The cause of the incident is still unclear and is still under investigation.
